All ruined the deluge triumphed. What was once a home now perished. Saving for the rainy days is a myth.

There's always lived five people in this house. Mom, Dad, baby sis, me and evil. For a good decade, we went about oblivious, blaming karma, past life and 'the cynical world' for the prolonged calamities. How could we have looked up in the misfortune that makes you keep your head down and chest in.

For when we dared to face the storm, we all saw evil - sitting at the rooftop, puppeteering and its puppet strings that we had been mistaking for silver linings.
